GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS PAYMENT
1. Bali Dream Vacation (BDV) Villa Rental
(BDV villa rental) Liability
BDV is an agent acting merely as a booking agent who works between its guests and on behalf of the villa owners of the villas that have been listed. The contract is not effective until required payment has been received and confirmation has been sent to the client.
Guests have the absolute right to choose any villa they want. BDV will advise to the best of its ability of the villa conditions and all our villas have been inspected and checklists completed by our staff.
We have spent considerable time gathering and checking all of the information about our villas and the other information we supply. Every detail has been checked and double checked to ensure that it is as accurate as possible. However, as the facilities at private properties may change from time to time we do not accept responsibility if any facilities become permanently or temporarily unavailable.
BDV is not responsible for any insurance
2. Booking through BDV Villa Rental
Bookings are only secured once you have completed and signed the BDV Villa Rental Booking Form together with 50% deposit / full payment. Please be aware that for some villas, the 50 % deposit is non refundable. The 50 % balance due should be paid 61 days prior to arrival in low season and 91 days prior to arrival in high/peak season. Full payment is required if the booking is made less than 45 days prior to arrival (or 60 days for Christmas / New Year bookings)
All payments can be made by bank transfer, cash, or credit card (Visa or Master card). All credit card payments are subject
to
a 3 % handling charge. All bank transfer fees are the responsibility of the client.
A contract will exist once you receive our Confirmation Invoice.
If for any reason we decline to accept your booking, the deposit or full payment will be returned.
We can correspond with a business address (e-mail, telephone and fax numbers), however, please specify a personal address
(e-mail, telephone and fax numbers) for emergency contact.
We will endeavour to provide Special Requests if they are highlighted on the Booking Form, however we do not guarantee that any special request can be met.
3. Amendments & Cancellations
Amendments by the client, after booking is confirmed.
We will make every effort to assist you if you need to amend your booking. All amendments must be made in writing, in the name of the signatory on the Booking Form and are subject to a US$50 administrative fee to each change made after a booking has been confirmed.
Cancellation by the client
Cancellation charges will be levied on the following basis:
More than 61 days (or 91 days for Christmas and New Year) : Deposit will not be refunded
Less than 61 days (or less than 91 days for Christmas and New Year) : 100% of total villa holiday cost
New bookings made following a cancellation
All clients who cancel a BDV Villa Rental holiday are encouraged to re-book their holiday on alternative dates. In such cases the Operator will use its best endeavors to transfer cancellation payments towards a new holiday. If the new holiday requires larger deposits and payments than the cancelled one, the Client must forward the difference between the new booking and the previous booking when the payments become due.
Amendments by BDV Villa Rental Operator
from time to time villa owners may make adjustments in their terms and conditions, including changes in price. We reserve the right to change the details on our website and in other written material published by the Operator, and will advise you of such changes at the time of booking. Once a Confirmation Invoice has been issued by us, we will make every effort to offer the holiday as advertised, however the Operator may have to alter the holiday arrangements before your arrival.
In situations where an amendment and or cancellation is forced because of a natural disaster, act of war, terrorist acts or threats, industrial disputes, technical problems such as power failures, fire, flood, drought, adverse weather and other ‘acts of God’ (force Majeure), we will Endeavour to make suitable alternative arrangements at no extra charge, however you will not be entitled to any compensation.
Failure to complete payment for your holiday within the time period required will result in your booking being cancelled and appropriate charges will be levied as explained above.
4. Prices
All prices quoted are in US dollars, and should be paid in US dollars by cash or credit card or bank transfer. However, credit card payments will be taken in Indonesian Rupiah at the prevailing Indonesian Merchant bank rate on the day of the transaction.
BDV Villa Rental is not obliged to provide you with a breakdown of specific prices.
BDV Villa Rental reserves the right to change any advertised price prior to accepting your booking and receiving a deposit.
5. Security Deposit
Security deposits of US$500 or credit card authorization are required for some villas to be used to pay for any damage caused by you and/or your party’s negligence. This deposit is also used to pay for any unpaid bills incurred by you and/or members of your party, during your stay at the property. Deposits will be refunded in full on the day of departure, unless damages/repairs need to be performed. The owner reserves the right to repossess the property if the client or a member of the party has caused excessive damage, in which case refunds will be made by bank cheque/ transfer less the cost of damages. You will be advised on booking if a security deposit is required for your specific villa.
6. Problems/Complaints
BDV will not entertain claims lodged by a client upon departure or after return home when it is no longer possible to investigate the complaint effectively. If you are dissatisfied with your villa holiday you must immediately contact the property management/BDV Villa Rental concierge during the period of your stay. We will do our best to satisfy your requirement in connection with the owner of the property if the agent considers the complaint valid.
7. Our Responsibilities
BDV Villa Rental bares no responsibility for any loss or damage to your property incurred whilst on a Villa holiday. You are encouraged at all times to deposit valuables with the proper authorities
Any information you provide to the Operator which is of a personal nature (i.e. passport details, dietary needs, ages etc.) will be confidentially held by the Operator and will only be passed on to local representatives responsible for delivering you to your Villa holiday.
8. Your Responsibilities
Only those persons named in the Booking Form are entitled to stay at the villa without prior arrangement. If the villa is booked on a reduced price tariff which includes the use of a limited number of the available bedrooms, number of persons staying at the property must not exceed the number of sleeping places indicated in the tariff advertised, except in the case of infants under 3 years old.
You and members of your party must not create unreasonable disturbance to neighbors, particularly during un-social hours,
(i.e. after midnight and before 7am). In the event of unreasonable behavior by you or members of your party you may be asked,
at the discretion of the Owner, to vacate the villa without any refund of monies paid.
You are prohibited from organizing and holding any major party events at your villa beyond normal entertaining, unless with prior agreement.
Photography and filming of the villa is allowed for private use only.
It is your responsibility to take good care of the property. All villas are supplied to you in good order at the beginning of the rental period and you must ensure they are left in the same state when you depart.
